Privacy Policy

Step pilates and yoga is committed to protecting your privacy. We use your personal information to uphold our standards of practice and improve practice. We only collect, use and store information where we have lawful grounds and legitimate business reasons in the interest of client care. While using the service, you will be asked to provide certain personally identifiable information that can be used to identify you or contact you. This personal information will include but is not limited to your email address, name, phone number, postal address or other contact information. 

The registration form you fill in prior to attending an appointment, bookings made and medical information disclosed during or after any appointments will be kept. A record of exercise participation, details of the home based program and follow-up management before ending your sessions at step pilates and yoga will be kept for 7 years in accordance with law. If decided your information is no longer needed it will be securely and confidentially destroyed. In your registration form you will have read and agreed to release of information or communication with your gp or consultant if any medical concerns are raised. Paper and online records of your information are stored securely and accessed by necessity only by staff. Your information stored by booking appointments via the website will not be passed to a third party.

Lawful disclosure:

We will disclose your personal information where required to do so by law or in accordance with an order of a court of competent jurisdiction. We will also disclose your information if we believe that lawful disclosure is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to  protect the security or integrity of our service.

The protection of your personal information is vitally important to us. We will strive to protect your personal information in all means reasonably required by us to do so. However, as no form of data transmission is 100% reliable we cannot guarantee its absolute security and make no warranties. We will however act in accordance with the relevant UK and EU data protection legislation.

You have the right to be informed of the aforementioned data processing methods at Step pilates and yoga and gain access to the personal information held. To request a copy a subject access request must be made in writing.

You have the right of rectification. You may ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data within 1 month. 

You have the right to have your personal data erased. 

You have the right to withdrawal consent when you have provided your consent previously to the use of your personal data.
